Twitter Blue Relaunched but With Higher Price for Apple iOS Users

that blue checkmark is back. That's because twitter re launching a revamped version of twitter blue later today, it'll cost you $8 a month. But if you use Apple, it'll cost you more $11. Twitter reportedly been looking offset fees charged by the Apple app store because Apple takes a 30% cut from in app purchases. The new twitter blue will allow subscribers to edit tweets, upload 10 80 P video and even get that coveted blue checkmark. This was sort of going to be the big question here, knowing that now Elon musk wants twitter to be a subscription business known eh, have you ever paid for twitter really before? I mean the blue before was like $4 but this is totally different now because now everybody will have the opportunity to get that blue checkmark. But does this sort of kick the can down the road with his eventual battles that he's having with tim Cook given that 30% fee here? Yeah, I wonder baker and you know you've been asking all morning, you know who's actually gonna buy this? I was looking into some numbers. Obviously twitter is a private company now so they don't have to reveal any of these numbers. But the new york times did report that some 140,000 had signed up for twitter blue when it did launch earlier in november and that was just a week or so after I had initially launched. So I'd be curious to see you know how many people are willing to pay $8.11 dollars. We know there's a lot of Elon musk fans that would pay pretty much anything for just about any of his products. You know, we're talking about this cologne that he's put out the fire throwers. Um so I think there is a base of support, however, you know, as your to your 110.90% of twitter's revenue was previously for advertisers and a lot of advertisers have pulled out. So I don't know if $11 a month is gonna really bring in the numbers that twitter needs. Absolutely, and given the fact that he had his meeting just within the last week or so with tim Cook to make sure tim Cook kept advertising on the platform. But if he's such a free speech, you know, a person here and he's basically wanting to make money off of subscribers to make up for all the ad companies that are leaving. I mean he's in a really weird position here, nobody really knows what's gonna be happening with twitter
