U.S. stocks closed Tuesday at session highs after staging an afternoon rally. The tech-heavy Nasdaq finished up 1.75%, the S&P 500 climbed 0.16%; but the Dow closed down 0.4%, as investors continue to factor in concerns about a possible recession, after returning to trade after a three-day holiday weekend.
