UN Women Is Working To Eliminate Gender Bias and Close The Pay Gap

The gender pay gap is alive and well in the United States. Whether it's through occupational segregation, bias against working mothers or direct pay discrimination, it's present. And according to payscale.com, in 2019 women are earning 79 cents for every dollar earned by men. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, UN Undersecretary General, Executive Director of UN Women spoke to Cheddar about how to create equality not just in the workplace but in society.
