Breaking generational trauma can be difficult but in order to do it the concept has to be understood. Kobe Campbell, a licensed trauma therapist and author, joined Cheddar News to break down exactly what generational trauma is, how to move past it, and how to avoid passing those traits down. "In so many culture, silence is the core of the way we operate. We don't talk about it, we don't acknowledge it, we don't say 'mom had a hard day and I don't know how to deal with that,'" she said.
