U.S. Passport Processing Times Down

We got some good news for travelers. If you need a new passport, the processing will be quicker. The State department yesterday lowered the expected wait times by two weeks. And that means passport applications will now have wait times of 8 to 11 weeks. If you offer the expedited service and pay 60 bucks, the wait time will be 5 to 7 weeks. The state department recommended applying for a passport, a minimum of 6 to 9 months before the old one expires and well in advance of travel, Hanna, do you know when yours is coming up? The expiration I do. It's in two years and I've heard so many horror stories during the pandemic of people not being able to travel because of their passports. I got to tell you, it brings me anxiety. You know, God forbid relative, I have to fly, someone gets sick. So I'm always up to date, but I'm so glad that, you know, the process is getting faster and faster. It causes a lot of anxiety for a lot of travelers. Definitely.
