As COVID-19 variants continue to spread across the globe, USAA insurance CEO Wayne Peacock shared his experience managing the pandemic shortly after being hired to head the company. Peacock said that having 36,000 employees still able to satisfy customer needs fully while working from home was one of the company's biggest achievements over the last year and a half. "The big lesson last year was speed matters," he said, about adapting quickly to the pandemic. He also spoke to the growth of USAA's SafePilot program app that measures the driving behaviors of its members that can then help reduce rates.
