Now that we're officially on the other side of the holiday weekend was July four travel as crazy as everybody anticipated. It would be well I think despite talk of flight issues, a lot of people still traveled on the domestic front for sure. Areas like the west coast did not slow down and I'm not surprised. I've always loved places like san Diego in the summer. From the approachable price points and accessibility via flight and car to the beautiful weather and range of activities. There's kind of truly something for everyone on the west coast Noble House Hotels and resources. A great option offers for distinctly unique experiences within san Diego depending on what you're looking for in particular for those seeking some downtime, which I know many of us are. Yeah, so friday by the way, the busiest and biggest travel day of the year so far. T? S a said, they screened almost 2.5 million people, but many are saying delays and cancelations are now expected to happen through the end of the summer. Now, the question on everyone's mind is why, why still so many cancelations? Well, I think there's a lot of reasons. I mean travels are being told that this wave of cancelations should stabilize by the full as airlines reduce their schedules and aim to hire more pilots and other airline workers. In reality there are a lot of variables in predicting that. But some trial solutions already in play. These include lightning flight schedules and pay increases from airlines to retain employees. So there aren't delays due to lack of staffing, but I will say that people's desire to travel has largely outweighed any complications this summer. Also keep in mind there is so many reasons why there have been issues and the majority of them really are temporary. Whether it's also been flaring up as well as as airlines scrambling to make up what they lost during covid, ultimately it is really a combination of temporary factors, none of which are permanent or really dissuading travelers from getting out there this summer. Okay, so Francesca if people are planning to head out of town again this summer. Do you recommend staying local or even driving here or should they even feel confident right now booking a flight. I think you should feel confident booking a flight. But I think there's a lot of there's a lot of ways of looking for your flights and knowing if it's going to be canceled and taking precautions. If you notice multiple cancelations with other airlines other than your own to the same destination. This can often be a telltale sign that your flight might be canceled. Be sure to sign up for alerts from your airlines. You can track your flight and make sure you have a backup plan in your current destination in case you have to wait a day.
