Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Now for a look at the weather, the country is experiencing a big swing in temperatures. Today, the north is experiencing temperatures below 60 degrees while temperatures in the South are hitting above 80. Here's a look at your full forecast. Hello, everyone. Happy Wednesday. I'm meteorologist Hilda Estevez. With your look across the nation, things are still relatively quiet. You know, conditions are not too dramatic. We are noticing the potential for some wet weather across Michigan and certain parts across the Great Lakes. But heading south, you know, we're really dealing with the swing in temperatures. That's really seems to be the big story these past few days and we are expecting to see some more wet weather filtering through across the Pacific Northwest. As far as the temperature swing goes, we could be seeing some record breaking highs before a cold front really drifts in and swinging the pendulum once again into the extreme, almost record breaking lows for the next few days. By Saturday though, we noticed that a lot of that moisture stretching down and across from Chicago to Dallas exits heading more towards the east and, you know, it looks pretty good for New York, Philadelphia, Washington, heading into Sunday. Temperatures are also tapering back down as far as upper air pattern goes. Not much movement. Once again, we're still seeing that there's not so much of a difference, but it will feel a bit more obvious what we're talking about next Monday as there's plenty of warmth heading back into play with a high ridge. We're talking about Salt Lake City and Denver feeling a bit more warm and the short term though, we could expect temperatures to look like this. So record breaking heat Wednesday that changes for Thursday in places like Dallas as we cool back down, expecting the fifties for Friday as well. Heading back to the fifties also for Saturday and Sunday across New York City.
