And it was a busy box office this weekend with several new movies in theaters. The Hunger Games prequel took the top spot at the box office bringing in $44 million domestically, $98 million overseas. It was less than Lionsgate expected the film to make and a far cry from the mega popularity of the original film which made 100 and 52 million domestically. During its opening weekend, trolls band together took the second spot opened on par for what was expected $30.6 million domestically. It featured the voices of some huge names like Camilla Cabello, Anna Kendrick and Amy Schumer. More bad news for the Marvels though the film had the biggest second week drop off of any Marvel movie dropping in ticket sales, 79% from its opening last weekend, which was also the lowest opening of any Marvel movie. I wanted Marvel to do well only because it's focusing on three female superheroes. But um oh, I didn't go to the theater to watch it, but I'm sure I will eventually watch this film. Yeah. More good things to uh binge, I think during this cold weather
