WGA Ratifies New Contract With Studios

The Hollywood screenwriters strike has formally ended the Writers Guild of America voted yesterday to ratify a new contract with Hollywood and TV studios. Formally ending the five month long strike. 99% of WG A members voted in favor of ratifying the new contract which will last through May 1st 2026. The WG A said in a statement though solidarity and determination, we have ratified a contract with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of our combined membership. Two weeks ago, the WG A board voted to affirm the strike ending deal with a MP TP. That's the group that represents studios and streaming services. Z A aftra actors are still on strike pending a contract agreement.
