China is cracking down on the amount of screentime that minors in the country spend with online video games to limit them to just three hours per week. Lisa Hanson, president and founder of Asian game industry marketing intelligence firm Niko Partners, joined Cheddar to talk about the potential impact it could have on the business of video games in China and potentially in the United States. Hanson noted that the initiative is not actually a law but a guidance for gaming companies to develop the technology and policies on their end to limit play time.
