What to Expect at Billboard's Latin Music Week in Miami

So joining us to celebrate and tell us all about billboard's Latin Music week is Vice president of Latin Music over at billboard Leila Cobo Leila. Such a pleasure to have you here. Thanks so much for getting up early with us this morning. So billboard Latin Music week returning to Miami this year running from september the 26th through october the first. So tell us what fans can expect here. Well, first of all, you can expect music all week. Are you, are you guys coming to Miami? I mean I want to now, I want to now you must come, we have like all the biggest Latin names are going to be here. We're going to have these beautiful fireside chats with people like malu MMA, like we've seen who are in the middle of their last tour for Nicky Jam is having his rockstar show, he's shooting it from there, we are having Camillo, we are having the original Queen of rigatoni, the Queen. We're having big pop star Cheyenne. And it's just a week of packed events where we listen to music, talk about music, celebrate music and really have a great time with Latin music which is living a fantastic moment. Yeah, it seems like an amazing party you guys gonna have down there and the theme this year is Latin goes global. So what does that entail exactly. Well, Latin music has really exploded around the world. And it's not music in spanish is now the second most listen to music all over the world. So if you look at the Youtube charts or the billboard charts right now, the number one artist and billboard is bad bunny, you know, from Puerto rico rapping in spanish. So really, we're celebrating the success of Latin artists all over the globe and we're really happy. This had never happened before. We've been doing Latin music week at billboard for 30 years and I would say that Latin music has never been bigger or brighter or more successful or more mainstream at this point, I mean, you mentioned a lot of the artists Malu MMA in particular, there's so many of them that are really crushing it right now, what are they going to be doing while they're there? Leila Well, many things Malu MMA is launching a new record label, Malouda is on our cover of Dilbert, which will be unveiled today actually. So you heard it here first? And Malu MMA is not just a musician anymore, he's a mogul. So he's launching his label royalty records. So he'll be talking about that, he'll be introducing his new artist and uh, and he'll be talking at the conference, he'll be actually doing a showcase with his new artists and, and then he'll be performing at the billboard, Latin music awards, which air live on telemundo on september 29th. So it's like a triple whammy with Malu for example. I know that's crazy. I know everybody is at home now saying how can we get tickets? It sounds amazing. So how do they do that if they're going to be in Miami, how can you get tickets to sit face to face with Myeloma? Right, I would, I would like to, you can go to billboard latin music week dot com and it tells you all the kinds of tickets you can get. We have tickets that include shows, we have to get set include tickets to the billboard Latin Music awards. So it's really a fantastic week and if you are fans of latin music, I promise you, you will never get closer to the artists than here. Who doesn't want that? Amazing, That sounds amazing.
