What to Expect from Apple's Updated Watch Collection

And in about a month, Apple is slated to have its next big product event and details are already leaking about the Apple watch, but it might be the next version that we should have our hearts set on news. Senior reporter Michelle Castillo is here with the latest Michelle. Tell us about all the rumors surrounding the Apple watch. You know, I can't live without mine. I tell you that all the time. You know, it is something that is coming out soon because we know that Apple is gonna have its latest product event on September 12th. We're all expecting a slew of new products and that includes that updated Apple watch and that you have your eye on. So a report in Bloomberg says it will be a minor upgrade this time though, but it kind of falls in line with how Apple revamps its products annually. When it comes to the watches, the changes are usually incremental and the watch hasn't really changed that much since the series four was released in 2018. Apple doesn't expect people to upgrade their watches every year like they might do with a new iphone. However, it does provide small changes to stay in line with other competitors like Samsung and Fitbit. Now, though the Apple watch, now, one thing you do want to watch out for is the Apple Watch is 10th anniversary in 2024 or 2025. That's when things will start getting interesting because that Apple X model is reportedly coming out with a blood pressure monitor. It will also have a micro led screen and that should be more vibrant than the current displays. It may also have a thinner watch case and you watch. So it's gonna look different from its predecessors. So I might try to hold on to this one. I wanna wait that year. Yeah. So what else do we know about the September 12th Apple event coming up in just a few weeks, Michelle? Well, there are gonna be other products, of course, and the one people are really looking forward to is the Apple iphone 15. And unfortunately, or fortunately how you look at it, we're gonna get a new charging port. So leak photos show that the iphone 15 has a USB C charging port. This is similar to other phones on the market kind of like what Samsung uses. So the good news is like you won't have to hunt for a charger if you have multiple phones in your household. But it also means that you can't use old Apple chargers or old apple wired headphones USB C ports are actually superior for charging speeds and data transfers. So overall it's actually a good thing and we they have to pay more for these models. Some analysts are expecting prices to increase 100 to $200 a model since the cost of manufacturing has increased about $96 if you want a larger iphone, however, you may have to wait another season. So industry rumors say the iphone 16 and the iphone 16 max, that's the next one after this one, they're going to have different sizes, but that's not due out until 2024. Other products will likely hear about will be new computers. They're going to come with Apple's own chips from the M three line. This means Macbook Pros and other computers could have more memory go faster and be better overall. Very cool. And during its latest earnings report Apple product revenue for the ipad, the Mac and iphone came in under analyst estimates. Do you think customers are willing to buy that new watch? Considering they're not buying as many Apple products as Apple is hoping for? Well, as you pointed out revenue for the company was down 1% overall Hanna and mostly that's because product sales didn't hit projections. So iphone revenue was down 2%. Macs were down 7% and ipads revenue was down a whopping 20% and Apple is blaming the lackluster economy as to why people haven't bought as many of these high ticket price items. The company is also predicting that this current quarter is going to be light on sales as well. CFO Luca did say, however, he expects iphone sales to bounce back perhaps because the new iphone 15 is hitting the market though Macs and ipads would still be down double digits. So we're probably not going to be buying as many products, but Apple is still putting them out there.
