Power Book II: Ghost, Season 3 - Starz

Picked by Lawrence Banton

The long-awaited return of Power's Ghost spinoff has finally arrived. Out of all the spinoffs from the Power franchise, the story of Tariq, played by Michael Rainey, is definitely my favorite. If you haven't caught up, beware of spoilers to follow.

Last season ended with two pretty substantial deaths, a reveal that would shatter most families, and still, Tariq has been able to leave "the life." So what's next? Monet Tejada, played by Mary J. Blige, will be out to avenge her son's death, but how will she react when she finds out who the shooter was? It's so messy, I'm on edge just thinking about the possible twists and turns this season can take. Episode one premieres Friday, March 17.

Theo Von: Regular People - Netflix

Picked by Keara O’Driscoll

I saw this comedian on TikTok after seeing a viral clip from his podcast. I thought he was funny but didn't realize how naturally funny he is until watching this special. Von runs through the people he grew up around in his hometown of  Covington, Louisiana. Although we couldn't have more different upbringings, being from Long Island, I feel like I knew exactly who he was talking about.

Creed II - Amazon Prime Video

Picked by Alex Vuocolo

With Creed III in theaters, now is a good time to revisit the underrated second film in the franchise. While the first Creed was almost universally celebrated, Creed II left many fans disappointed, which is why I put off watching it until now. To my surprise, it’s a soulful retread of a reliable formula. Adonis Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan, has to fight the son of the man, Ivan Drago, who killed his father in the ring decades ago. But first Creed has to overcome his insecurity about being at the top of the game. Sylvester Stallone also returns as Rocky Balboa to train Creed for a brutal fight that could very well knock him out of the game for good.

I Think You Should Leave - Netflix

Picked by Digital Editor Mike Nam

Former SNL writer and performer Tim Robinson got a chance to do his very own comedy sketch show on Netflix in 2019, and it's been a nonstop, firehose of viral, meme-worthy moments ever since. Maybe you've come across "Oh my God! He admit it!" or "I don't even want to be around anymore."  Perhaps you've seen references to Charlie Brown pants or "Coffin Flops." In any case, the absurd series returns for a six-episode third season at the end of May, so now is a perfect opportunity to catch up.

In Our Time - BBC and podcast providers

Picked by newsletter writer Graison Dangor

If your internal clock is still messed up from the switch to Daylight Saving Time, try putting on this podcast at night. I almost feel bad suggesting it as a sleep aid, because the roundtable discussions with historical, scientific, and cultural experts led by the pleasant, learned, and slightly mumbling Melvyn Bragg are truly interesting deep dives into people and topics, like the Hungarian mathematician Paul Erdos or the history of megaliths, that you won't hear on other shows. But In Our Time does not try to keep your attention — it is literally just experts talking into microphones — which makes it easy to fade into background noise as you drift off.
