When to Get Your Super Bowl Bets In

Welcome back to cheddar beds brought to you by bet MGM depending on how you feel about sports betting. The two week pause between championship week and Super Bowl, sunday is either relaxing or extra stressful as you figure out the best place. So joining us now to get into it, Shawn Green, co founder of the sports gambling podcast network. So sean, this is the one game all year where we really have two weeks to prep for it. So how does this change your betting strategy? Uh you know, I, I like to bet on a lot of stuff. So that's what's great about the Super Bowl. There's a ton to bet on. I'm researching the coin toss, the Gatorade color, everything in between. So yeah, it's, it's, it's an awesome time to, to bet on sports and yeah, I mean the Super Bowl invented prop bets and there's, there's no shortage of them out there. I know it's like we have all season and now it comes down to this where we have two weeks to completely get it right. So no pressure for us. Right. So the spread currently lies at 4.5 points in favor of the RAMs. Is there value on getting bets down in this first week you think? Yeah, I mean it's kind of interesting because normally the, the public is going to come in on the favorite, but early on it was a lot of uh, you know, the public has kind of on Cincinnati, although a couple of sharp bets moved it from RAMs minus 3.5 all the way up to rams 4.5, you know, I I think if you like the RAMs you can probably see if it goes from 4.5 to 5 and then definitely better because there's a small chance it gets up to six points. But I would be surprised if it does because of all the public support on the Bengal. So I think it'll probably hover around here maybe close at four. Well what about the total here, which could prove to be more volatile in terms of shifting the line. Yeah, no, totally, the total was pretty wild. It opened up at 51 got better all the way down to 48. A lot of, you know, sharp gamblers or people early uh early better is getting down on the under. But again, this is probably going to go up because the casual better is gonna want to bet on the over. No one wants to go to a Super Bowl party And root for punts or three an ounce. So they want to see touchdowns. They want to see numbers for their Super Bowl squares. So they're gonna be inclined to take the over. So if you like the under, I think you wait until closer to kick off if you like the over. I would definitely bet it now. That's so true. I feel like I always jump on the over way too soon. So which that MGM player props. Do you recommend jumping on early this week before they have the chance to move well. Yeah, and again, kind of similar thing with these player props. We've already seen a bunch of movement on joe burrows, passing yards and some of these overs. So if you like some of the overs definitely get them now. One of the overs I do like is tee Higgins over 69 a half receiving yards. I think he has a good matchup. And again, Jalen Ramsey will probably be covering Jamaar chase for most of the games. So I think tee Higgins, it's going to have a really good match up there. I like the over there and I also like joe burrow over rushing yards at 11.5. I always like taking quarterback over rushing yards in the playoffs. We saw him scramble five times for 25 yards last week against the Chiefs. It's a Super Bowl. They know they need to get that third down, they know they need that touchdown, they know they need that fourth down, whatever it is. So they're more inclined to run in the, in the postseason. So those are two overs I like now and I would definitely grab them now because they're they're not gonna go down. They only go up, give us your biggest boldest bet for the big game as of now. Yeah. And I'm I'm gonna probably have a number of bold bets if I know how I operate. So one of the first ones that jumped out at me. This is one that I hit a few years back when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. I had Patrick Mahomes first touchdown. I hit that at plus 1500. I'm going back to that. Well again this time going with joe burrow first touchdown at 30 to 1 plus 3000 over at bed. Mgm Again I think they're more inclined to scramble during the Super Bowl during the playoffs. And we saw Patrick Mahomes do it and I wouldn't be shocked if joe burrow does. Okay. Last one super quickly for you sean. What what's the final score and who wins M. V. P. You think? Yeah I for the final score give me the Bengals winning outright 30-24. I think they get it done. I know there's some crazy matchups on the defensive line against the offensive line but the Bengals have been playing without an offensive line the entire season. They got sacked nine times and still won the game. They're gonna figure out a way to get it done. I do think joe burrow M. V. P. Is the way to go. But also maybe a small Sprinkle on Jamaar chase because if he does somehow beat Ramsay or have an insane game. He could be the outlier for the Super Bowl Mvp so far on the show.
