Before the holiday recess, one of the buzziest topics on the hill was the Green New Deal, a plan to virtually eliminate U.S. Greenhouse gas pollution in a decade. The plan, championed by incoming congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, climate activist group the Sunrise Movement, and the Justice Democrats political action committee, would also aim to create new jobs and lessen income inequality. But it's also causing a divide within the Democratic party itself. Waleed Shahid, Communications Director for Justice Democrats, joins Cheddar to discuss.
