Sarah Lacy has been reporting on the tech industry for years, but when she began publishing stories about the "bro culture" in companies like Uber, she began to receive threats against her and her family. Despite the threats, Lacy persisted and continued her reporting. Now in her new book "A Uterus Is A Feature, Not a Bug," Lacy recounts her path from "sexism denier to fierce feminist." Lacy joins Cheddar to discuss the factors in her life that compelled her to tell the stories of women in tech. Lacy says there is still a lot left to do when it comes to equality in the Silicon Valley workplace. While many tech companies now say they're working to fix the problems, Lacy says it's already too late. She says diversity needs to be integrated into a company's culture from the beginning, with the first few hires you make.
