Wile Takes Holistic Approach to Wellness for Women Over 40 

Let's stick with wellness. One company is looking to support the hormonal and emotional well being for women over the age of 40 while provides supplements tinctures and drinks using her herbal and unique plant based formulas. The company just announced the clothes of a $3 million dollar pre seed round with Serena Williams venture firm. The company also plans to debut nine products in all whole food market doors this month. Joining us now discusses Gwen Floyd, co founder and Ceo of Wild Gwen, welcome to the show, Congrats on landing this funding with serena Williams. What are the plans with this fresh capital? Yeah, we're quite excited. Um we launched in all whole foods this month, we're going to be leveraging this capital to build an incredibly new and innovative Product line to add to the existing nine skews that we offer both online in whole foods and that growth um online as well. And we're really diving deep and understanding some other ways to leverage technology to engage and provide care For her at large. Um and really kind of doubling down on what we think is an incredibly unique opportunity um to build our brand voice, which is unique in the market and I think really resonating with women over 40, helping them feel seen and heard for the first time ever as it relates to their needs and their experiences. Your company is one of several that Serena Williams has invested in. What is it about while that serena and so many others are so interested in. So confident in your company. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I think what they understand is that this address is not a huge need and an underserved woman's health sector, but it also addresses a massive white space and untapped like financial opportunity from a business perspective. So it really is a unique marriage, you know, while and other companies really trying to work in this space addressing 50 million underserved women going through perimenopause that have been ignored by the marketplace and ignored on shelf and online And then to be able to provide effective solutions to the myriad of symptoms, emotional and hormonal that are typical for them to experience of this 10-15 year period of perimenopause. So women over 40 go through a lot with their bodies, especially when it comes to menopause. There are so many stories, walk us through how these ingredients help women, especially in that age range. Yeah, absolutely. I think what's very unique about us is we are kind of the first holistic product line that's come to the market. Every woman's experience is unique. There are over 30 for symptoms that you can experience throughout this throughout this timeline. And with while you're able to address just within our product line over basically what you would need to take In terms of over 50 individual herbs and ingredients if you're going to look on shelf or for other solutions. So let's talk about your products, which ones are women just loving right now? Absolutely. I mean, what's unique about us is we always say perimenopause menopause is not an illness. You know, it's a life phase and therefore it shouldn't. The products that help women basically deal with these symptoms shouldn't just be things that feel like like pills or medicine or treating an illness and therefore we've created beautiful products um that really speak more to self care. Then I would say treating an illness because again, it's not an illness, it's a life face. And I think that proposition is really resonating with women. They're loving the tinctures, they're loving the drink powders and the supplements themselves. I think when you take in tandem with this ecosystem of products, really just feel like yet another part of this wellness regimen that you are using to feel whole and vital and really truly fully alive and wellness life phase that's unfortunately so often gas lit and compromised. Um for women, when dealing with the traditional medical industry, what do you think women in their forties are ignoring most when it comes to their health. Yeah. And it's interesting because I think we can say ignoring or we can say, what are the areas in which women have been underprepared and misinformed as it relates to their health during this life phase. And I would say one of the major ones that we address is stress cortisol is a stress hormone. Oftentimes when people talk about perimenopause or menopause, they just focus on estrogen or reproductive hormone. The fact is, is that your your stress hormones, cortisol is one of the most powerful things that are affected and begins to be affected. Um As soon as you turn 35 as it relates to resulting in perimenopause symptoms. So for us, we say pay attention to your stress, understand if you're feeling incredibly stressed and overwhelmed, that's not your fault. You know, this is actually something that's happening inside of your body. It's a dis regulation and an imbalance that can be addressed. So don't just grin and bear it. Really listen to your body, listen to the signs and really take basically be an advocate for yourself and take products that will help regulate your entire system, endocrine, your basically your hormonal system, your stress system and your nervous system to be able to really overcome these debilitating feelings um and feel whole and well and easily perform wonderfully in all aspects of your life.
