Winners and Losers for Conference Tournament Week

Welcome back to cheddar bats brought to you by Bet mgM. While teams ranked in the ap top 25 are virtually assured a spot in the N. C. A. A. Tournament regardless of how they performed this week. Winning the conference tournament can lead to a higher seed and some much needed momentum heading into the tourney, taking a look at the six major conferences and you'll see a lot of teams that typically go far in March. The Big 12 could present some high stakes drama on Saturdays, defending national champion Baylor and Kansas are tied for the best odds to win the conference, according to Bet MGm Sports book joining us now ESPN sports betting analyst and host Tyler Fulgham. So Tyler we've talked about some of the biggest games tonight but we want to extend it out this weekend into selection sunday. So let's start with the Big 12 attorney who's the best value that you take to win it. Yeah, I like texas tech in that conference because of the value that they provide as opposed to a Kansas or a Baylor. Texas tech. Even with chris Beard now gone to Austin, they still play lights out defense and defense is something that will travel into a tournament setting when you're playing game after game day after day. You can rely on that defense to keep you in games, a hot shooting day or a hot shooting weekend, pardon me, can have you run through that conference at plus 3 50. I like texas tech because of their defense to be able to stifle offenses like Baylor and Kansas and they give you a little extra return on your investment as opposed to those other two teams. The top of the wager board pivoting to the sec now, Kentucky's favorite but our auburn or Tennessee better bets. I think Tennessee is in full disclosure. My dad is a volunteer. So a little bit of bias here, but I will say Tennessee having someone like Kennedy Chandler who's an absolute baller vsco V is a great shooter. Rick Barnes is someone who's been in this spot before. Again, they're, they're a team that I think provides better value as opposed to those other squads. Auburn's had a lot of trouble this season winning away from their home floor Kentucky is the favorite for good reason. But why get a plus 1 75 price when I can get a plus 3 25 price for a team that I think is just as likely to win the conference tournament or make a deep run in March than the Kentucky Wildcats. So I do think the volunteers at plus 3 25 are my favorite bet in the sec and you're just making dad proud by making that pick right? That's the whole point. Trying to stay in the will. Absolutely. There we go. Alright. Moving on to the big 10. They might have the tightest field left and you can see really any team winning it. Who's the best bet to get a ring before the tournament starts. Yeah, the big 10 I think is the hardest one for me to handicap because I think there are actually four or five, maybe even six teams that I can see winning this conference tournament. I love Purdue as a squad because few teams, in fact no teams in the entire nation can combine the size that they have with the shooting that they have. But I want to look at the Wisconsin Badgers at Plus 650. Johnny Davis is the Big 10 player of the year. Johnny Davis is the type of guy that can carry your team. Wisconsin plays a brand of basketball that always seemingly works in the month of March. So again, I love the price at plus 6 50 Iowa Illinois and Purdue are great. Of course if they win, I wouldn't be shocked but I also wouldn't be Winifred or wouldn't be shocked if Wisconsin wins it. Riding a big weekend from johnny Davis and getting them at the price of plus 6 50 is my favorite investment in the big 10. Well looking at all the teams right now, which team can prove the most to you heading into the tournament by going on a deep conference Attorney run. Yeah, I think that's providence and they got a little scare earlier today, they were able to escape providence is a team that when we looked at them all season long, people just kept saying, yeah, they're lucky. Yeah, no, they win close games and there's gonna be some aggression in March. But this is a team that is just absolutely stocked and loaded with nothing but grown men like six or seven of their eight rotation players. Our seniors or one junior is mixed in there. So they're not afraid of any situation. That's why they perform so well when games are tight and it comes down to the wire, they're grown men who are not gonna be scared by any situation. So I don't think they're a lucky team. I just think they're a good team if they win not only the Big East regular season a crown, but win this conference tournament. I think we'll have to start to give them the respect that they deserve and maybe bump them up from the 43 line, two, a two line, maybe something like that. And I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a deep run in March either. They definitely know how to handle those close games. Alright, Tyler, it is time for a quick round of pick six. Last week, joe sera lo joined us and nailed four of his six picks while the audience stumbled again. So far, the audience hasn't had much success fading our pro picks. First up nets at 76ers. Yeah, I'm gonna arrive at the 70 sixers tonight. We know ever since James Harden has come over in the five games he's played their five and oh and they're averaging 100 25 points per game. So I think they are in better shape right now than Brooklyn. All right, quick on this one. Warriors and Nuggets. I like the Nuggets and the Warriors are three and seven their last 10. Meanwhile Nuggets are nine and one and Yokich is playing at an MvP level big 12. Quarterfinal Iowa State versus number 14 texas tech. I'll take texas tech like I said I like them in that conference tournament with their defense. Big East quarterfinals. Seton Hall versus number 20 Yukon this one is I'm gonna go off the board here to take Seton Hall. I know they're missing a few key players, Yukon might as well but I just have a feeling I needed an underdog here and I'll ride with Seton Hall A. C. C. Quarterfinal Virginia versus number 25 U. N. C. I don't like seeing Virginia and conference tournament because of their defense but I will ride with the tar heels who are hot coming off that win over Duke. Alright last one for your mountain West. Quarterfinal Utah State versus number 23 Colorado State Colorado State a team. I love as a sleeper in the dance. They can shoot the ball as well as any team in the country and they do not turn it over and hurt themselves. So I like the Colorado State squad tonight.
