Last night's billion dollar powerball jackpot has a winner. The winning ticket was sold in Los Angeles in the Los Palme mini market. That's according to the California lottery, a surge of ticket sales pushed the final jackpot to $1.08 billion. The third largest prize in the history of powerball and the sixth largest in us history. The winner can choose to receive either the total price paid out in yearly increments or one time lump sum of $558.1 million before taxes.
