Woman Detained Over Plot to Kill Ukrainian President

And according to the Ukrainian security service, an alleged Russian informant has been detained for a plot to assassinate Ukrainian President Zelinsky. According to a statement, the detained woman is from Ukraine and had been quote gathering intelligence about Zelinsky to a southern area of the country in hopes of planning a Russian air strike to kill him. The security service had been monitoring the woman's communication and obtained information about the plan leading them to put additional security measures in place to stop the plot. There have been reports of several attempts on Zelinsky life since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022.
