Charles Beames, executive chair of York Space Systems, joined Cheddar to discuss the company’s expansion of its ground facility in Denver, Colorado. The aerospace tech firm manufactures the systems essential to spaceflight and satellite construction. Beames said the Colorado "mega factory" will help rapid turnaround on spacecraft and allow costs to fall dramatically by cranking out hundreds of satellites at a time. “These are dropping now to the price of a computer themselves," he said. "The ones at York we manufacture and sell, they’re about a million dollars apiece."
