Time. Now for a look at the weather. Jetter news has got you covered with their coast to coast forecast and it is hot out there. Oh, yes. I'm meteorologist Samantha with your latest cheddar weather updates. All right, we're talking about the hot weather again. Today, we have extreme heat in places like Arizona where it's still over 100 degrees. You can see this pink color here from Kansas to Missouri and Illinois where temperatures are near 100 degrees and we even have some of that heat right near the Delmarva Peninsula. Temperatures have been in the eighties to near 90 degrees high humidity making it feel more like the triple digit. So just can't get a relief in some spots, especially Texas, Dallas, another day. 101 degrees. It's been hot and humid in Florida Temps today in the upper eighties to near 90. And that heat travels all the way north into the southern Great Lakes region and across the northeast as well. New York City today. 95 we've got that nice relief for you in the northwest and that's where it's going to be dry today with sunshine. We will be tracking storms that are heading into parts of the Great Lakes here, especially this afternoon, Wisconsin to Michigan, there could be some strong to severe storms and eventually that will shift into the northeast. This is going to be Saturday night, some stormy weather as the front passes by Sunday morning and that puts an end to your hot and humid weather. But the showers will linger along the southeast coast for a good portion of the weekend through early next week. Midwest getting a little bit of a break. It's still really hot in Texas. But hopefully as some showers roll through or try to push by early next week, we will eventually try to cool things down a little bit for you. West coast looks pretty nice. San Francisco up to Seattle and that's where it's been a little bit cooler as well. So to recap today, 88 in Detroit, watching for late day storms, Cincinnati sunny 97 100 degrees in Washington DC and it feels that hot around the New York area. You see all the pink colors, the hot weather here from Nashville, 99 95 in New Orleans. 81 in L A today, Las Vegas 113 degrees again, but much cooler in San Francisco where it's sunny and nice temperatures top out in the upper sixties.
