Your Monday Weather Forecast for November 13, 2023

Now to the weather conditions are quiet across the country except for the Gulf Coast area, which is getting some much needed rain today. Here's a look at your full forecast. Hello, I'm Storm watch team. Meteorologist Mike Rizzo, with your chatter weather update across the country. You can see that rain is falling in a much needed area. The Gulf Coast, we're gonna get there in just a moment, but you'll see that there are storms and showers all the way up the Pacific northwest and there's a small piece of energy exiting Canada in the northeast and that's where we're going to begin this story. You could see generally clear conditions and quiet weather over the northeast and the Midwest really don't have much of an issue here except for some lake effect snow coming in through upstate New York, not gonna leave much of an issue, but this is the, the news making situation here. The Gulf States finally getting into some much needed rain. There's been a drought down here, so the rain is definitely going to be helpful. There's very little prospect for widespread flooding. Now, of course, there'll be some spots that do see some flooding and of course, you could see that this rain is much, much needed. This is gonna continue moving toward Georgia and the Carolinas by the weekend before moving up the east coast to combine with the weather front, the upper Great plains pretty much status quo cold. Uh We're also looking at clouds, fair weather for now and then the Pacific Northwest, we still continue to deal with some of that atmospheric river energy kind of sending the shower storms and snow uh up toward the uh cascades. But then also dealing with some snow over the Sierra Nevada, California is gonna get into some rain as well. Thanks to the jet stream kind of waving itself around the country here. You could see that energy allowing itself to be pulled into the west coast and that's something that they're gonna be watching for there. However, by the end of the week, Friday, we were gonna be dealing with that trough headed toward the northeast and that's gonna allow that energy off to the Gulf coast to move up the east coast and bring some much uh uh uh much of a change to the forecast for the northeast as rain is expected there. Here's that forecast overall, I want you to bring your attention to the Gulf coast here. Uh Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida, dealing with that rain. This is much needed for this area. You'll see that by the end of the week that rain does collect off the Atlantic Coast and then it moves up toward the northeast where, then you'll see some showers there for. Now we're, then we're gonna be watching for some rain over California as well.
