Your Thursday Weather Forecast for September 21, 2023

Now to weather, thunderstorms are hitting parts of the Midwest today. Plus temperatures are getting mild in many other northern states. Here's your full weather forecast. Hello, everyone. I'm meteorologist James Gregorio with Chet, our coast to coast forecast very quiet in the east for now, showers and storms out to the west and we've got again, some more activity down to the south. We're watching this area of low pressure, this storm system off the southeastern coastline which is going to bring us rain and some gusty winds as we move into the upcoming weekend here in the New York City metro in Philly, to some extent, Washington DC is probably on the fringe of that here. But again, inundating portions of the east coast with some rain and some storms here, you can see some of that rain trying to get going here in South Carolina, pushing some rain into southern North Carolina in that Wilmington area, more rain and shower activity from Chicago land to ST Louis. There are some more showers as you head towards Nebraska and a little further out to the west as well. So as we head towards your Friday, notice that rain creeps up the eastern seaboard, later Friday into Saturday. The rain is here, the heaviest stuff I think stays offshore, which is great news a little further out to the west, a little more rain. And by Sunday notice how this kind of splits apart. So the tail end the residual what's left of that rain still affecting New York City, Philly to some extent, Washington DC. Then finally moving out of here, later Sunday and becoming a little more of Providences as well as Boston's issue as we head towards Bangor Maine as we move in towards your Monday. Temperatures for the most part here. Beautiful as we end the week, Philly at 72 New York at 72 ST Louis at about 80 degrees. And that's a look at your triple C forecast.
