Your Tuesday Weather Forecast for August 29, 2023, Including Idalia Latest

Now to the weather, Hurricane Adalia could cause strong storms in the southeast, but things are pretty quiet out in the west for now. Here's a full forecast. Hello, everyone. I'm your always James Gregorio with your latest cheddar coast to coast forecast. And here we go, we're dealing with strong storms potentially down in Florida in advance of Idalia making a landfall there. The tropics have been certainly troublesome, but look at that eye perfectly symmetrical on Franklin. Franklin is going to hook around Bermuda and move out to sea so really very little threat. But if you're taking days off early in advance of the holiday weekend, if you're heading to the outer banks of North Carolina, the Jersey shore, the Hamptons, you've got dangerous rip currents. So you really got to be careful and mindful of that. And then of course, we've got hurricane Idalia packing top winds of about 70 plus miles an hour or so. Moving in towards the Gulf of Mexico. Idalia really is going to be of concern and making a landfall on Florida's west coast somewhere between Tampa and the Big Ben. All right, it looks great here. Weather wise in New England, uh New York City Metro and Philly look fine into the upper Midwest. Pretty quiet as well. But it's really Idalia that everybody is watching and the west coast of Florida going to feel those impacts here over the next day or so. Satellite and radar picture. Pretty quiet here as we move out to the west coast. Also quiet here from Boise to Medford to L A as well. Rain. Yeah, we're going to see rain over the next couple of days as it makes landfall. Moving through North Florida into Georgia still is a category one hurricane, likely very heavy rains, gusty winds power outages as well and then moving a little further north up the Carolina coastline as we get closer to the holiday weekend. So if you're heading early down south, you got to be mindful of this. And that is a look at your triple C forecast.
