All right time. Now for a check of the weather in your neck of the woods, as Cheddar news has got you covered with your coast to coast forecast. I'm meteorologist Samantha, with your latest chet or weather update. We are tracking some severe weather for the day today and you can see right here in the Midwest from northern Texas up into Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, even parts of Colorado where this afternoon, some strong to severe storms could fire up with a large hail, damaging winds and possibly a couple tornadoes. And you can see this bull's eye here just in parts of northwestern Nebraska also over by Oklahoma City. Now in the southeast, we're watching this rainfall, there could be some flooding rains, especially on the higher elevations back into parts of North Carolina. Eventually Kentucky and Tennessee. All this wet weather is going to continue right up along the east coast for Thursday and Friday with this stationary weather pattern that we're in. Meanwhile, we're tracking these showers here along the northern tier. This is now heading into the weekend. The west coast looks just fine. So Saturday and Sunday, it's warm. It's humid along the east coast, but look at all these pop up showers here also a little bit rough along along the coast if you have plans to be out on the water. So just keep that in mind, get a little bit of a break around the Midwest, late Sunday into Monday, seeing some sunshine around the four corners as well, but the heat will be on. Let's go to the tropics. We are watching tropical storm Brett right now and that will be tracking east towards Dominica, Saint Lucia and Grenada. That's going to be by Tuesday with rough conditions on the water. Of course, large waves, possibly some storm surge and very heavy rainfall. So today, the heat is on around the Great Lakes, Detroit, 84 New York set city 71 today a little bit cooler to kick off summer, Orlando to Tampa, Miami pop up storms for you temps in the eighties to near 90. You've got that nice sunshine and a nice feel from Salt Lake City to Seattle. Temperatures today topping out in the mid to upper seventies.
