And time now for a look at the weather, as we mentioned, Hurricane Nadia is the major story right now as it makes its way through the southeast plus some triple digit temperatures in parts of the country. Here's your full forecast. I'm meteorologist Samantha Jerry, with your latest chatter weather update. Of course, we've been tracking hurricane Idalia bringing that catastrophic storm surge of life threatening winds and the flooding and that storm continues to track through Florida into Georgia and South Carolina bringing the flooding rains. And that's going to be the story for the rest of the day today through this evening and Thursday pushing into the Carolinas and then eventually offshore. So we can say Idalia and also her Franklin, we have rough conditions all along the east coast in our waters, even extending up to the north. We're watching those rip currents, the large waves and some coastal flooding. So things are certainly active here. You see by this evening and tomorrow Idalia is starting to track off shore again, the storm will be weakening out over the ocean, kind of just fizzling out. And then we're going to get a nice little break in our weather as we head into the weekend. So, behind all the activity that we're tracking in the tropics, the Midwest is really super quiet. I mean, we've had sunshine and thankfully getting a break from any storms around the northwest, especially in the mountains. It's a little bit unsettled as we head into your Thursday and Friday, nothing major happening here. We still have some scattered showers along the Gulf coast and parts of Florida as those storms are moving out and around the northeast, it is going to be beautiful. We'll get you sunshine. Nice warm weather. Look at this across the northern tier here as we head into your Labor Day weekend. So that is going to be the good news for you. So today, temperatures around the northeast, some spots still a little cool. 65 Buffalo, 74 Burlington, Vermont with some showers and now the showers are clearing out. We're starting to warm up in New York City. 84 degrees Miami today, 91 95 New Orleans and 99 in Dallas where the heat is on and it is hot again in Vegas today. Sunshine with temperatures near 110 degrees.
