Your Wednesday Weather Forecast for Oct. 4, 2023

Time. Now for a look at the weather, some thunderstorms are making their way across the country. The heaviest impacts are going to be down south. Plus this warmer October temperature, it's going to continue for much of the country. Here's your full forecast. I'm Samantha. With your latest cheddar weather update. Today, we are tracking the threat for some more showers and storms. Some of these storms could become strong to severe where you see the area of yellow here, especially parts of central and northern Texas into Oklahoma. And that's where you can expect to see those gusty winds could be strong 60 MPH or more and large hail with very heavy rain. We'll be watching that today as cooler weather is coming from the northwest and clashing with the very warm and humid air that we have across the south and east. So for the day today, it feels like summer across the northeast. Very, very warm around Florida. We do have some pop up storms just offshore, but we are watching those severe storms pop up. So you can see just north of Dallas here towards Oklahoma City and that front will be tracking to the east. Meanwhile, it is quiet across the northern plains here. Getting a little bit cool now, but at least you'll be looking at that nice sunshine by Friday to Saturday, we are going to watch this front. Try to meet up with an area of low pressure out over the ocean that's going to bring the east coast and the northeast, some rain showers and then much cooler weather. So the second half of your weekend will turn breezy and cool. But across the board, we don't have any big storms. So by Sunday and Monday we are looking at sunshine here and we'll get ready for another system to track into the northwest. Today in New York City, 81 degrees, the heat is on 84 in Buffalo, 86 in Burlington, Vermont across Florida. Temperatures are in the eighties to near 90 most of the day. It will be dry with that sunshine. And then you can see where that cooler weather is. 65 today, but beautiful Salt Lake City with sunshine, 68 in Rapid City and today in Albuquerque, beautiful day for you. Lots of sunshine with temperatures in the seventies.
