Tara Walpert Levy, VP of agency and brand solution at Google and YouTube, joined Cheddar's "Closing Bell" to talk about launching Holiday Stream and Shop on November 15 to capitalize on the livestream shopping trend. She noted that while YouTube was already involved in e-commerce prior to the onset of the pandemic, the boom in online shopping, as a result, accelerated the platform's plans to implement concepts like shopping off of a livestream. The video-sharing platform is partnering with brands like Walmart, Samsung, and Verizon for the rollout.
