Software company SnapMD provides the technology to help medical clinics go virtual. It was spun out from the University of Southern California's Master of Medical Management Program, and recently closed a Series A bringing total funding to more than $9 million. George Tierney, co-founder and COO at the company, says its platform helps healthcare providers directly engage with patients remotely using consumer-based devices.
