Greg McBride, Chief Financial Analyst at Bankrate.com, discusses a new survey that finds that 23% of Americans have increased their retirement contributions this year. McBride also notes how much millennials in particular are saving, with over 30% increasing their putting in more money than they did the year before. The study also finds there seems to be a correlation between savings and political affiliation. Of Republicans, Democrats, or Independents, only Democrats were more likely to reduce their retirement contributions.
