Adrienne Appell, Director of Strategic Communications for the Toy Association, discusses Play-Doh's 61-years of success. The company made a special Cheddar logo made out of Play-Doh that took four hours to create. Appell discusses the company's recent growth over the last 5 years. We ask her what makes Play-doh continue to be successful even in the age of digital where many parents are turning to iPhone and iPad apps to keep their kids busy and engaged. But Appell notes that Play-doh allows kids to use their imagination. We also talk about the relaxing nature of the product as hosts play and mold the product during the interview, with everyone on set noticing a sense of calm they felt as they sculpted.
