Start-up Cleancult Doubles Down On Its Move To Puerto Rico
Cleancult is a start-up that provides direct-to-consumer laundry detergent made with all-natural ingredients. Last March, Cleancult moved a large bulk of its operations from California to Puerto Rico. Now, after Hurricane Maria destroyed much of the island's infrastructure, Cleancult Founder Ryan Lupberger says the company has no intentions of leaving. He says the reason Cleancult moved operations in the first place is that they see the potential of the island and its people. Lupberger also explains why Cleancult's product "doesn't suck" like its competitors thanks to all-natural, simple ingredients.
