Microsoft's Julia White: We Spend $1 Billion a Year on Cybersecurity

Get familiar with quantum computing. Microsoft Cloud's Corporate Vice President Julia White says these systems, in the works for 12 years, will shape Microsoft's future. Cheddar's Hope King spoke with White at Microsoft's headquarters on Wednesday about competition in the cloud computing space. Microsoft's Azure, its cloud service, made up 31.8 percent of Q2 2017 earnings. Azure revenue also grew by 97 percent last quarter. Microsoft is also increasing its efforts to combat cyberattacks. White says, on average, hackers can go undetected in a system for 200 days! To be proactive, Microsoft spends $1 billion each year on cybersecurity.
