Greg Zeman, Associate Editor at Cannabis Now, discusses the ban on marijuana at college campuses across the U.S., even in states where the drug is legal. Because public universities receive federal money, the drug is banned on campuses, even when it's legal in the state. Zeman says that more officials should be fighting for students when they are arrested, especially in states where the drug is lega for adults. We also talks with Zeman about a call by California lawmakers for the federal government to remove marijuana from its Schedule 1 classification. That designation is supposed to be for drugs that serve no medical purpose and are prone to being abused. Will the Schedule 1 classification be dropped, given the current presidential administration? Zeman says that we shouldn't hold our breath.
