And deep sea. Explorers have got some fantastic new images of three ship wrecks on the North Pacific Ocean. They date back 80 years. Look at that. They include photos of a Japanese aircraft carrier that sank during World War Two's Battle of Midway that was in June of 1942. The nonprofit Group Ocean Exploration Trust used remote controlled vessels to film the ship wrecks. Many of the ship's anti aircraft guns were still pointing up which provided researchers clues about the ship's final moments. Now, the majority of the casualties of the paddle battle of Midway were Japanese service members. The Embassy of Japan Minister said of the shipwreck research on this occasion we meet on those same Pacific waters in which Japan and the US once met in battle. But this time as allies and fellow researchers, I I can't imagine the amount of history that they're going to find as they, you know, do more research on the sunken ships.
