And that was definitely the case for inmates at a prison in Virginia singer Jason Deford, known professionally as Jelly Roll. Stopped by the Chesterfield County jail to surprise mates who had been listening and singing to his music. But the connection is much deeper than that. Deford has been very open about his struggles with addiction and the inmates he visited are part of a recovery program in the jail called Harp helping addicts recover progressively. So right now, the heart program sometimes posts inmates singing on their Tik Tok and I shared a video of prisoners singing one of Deford's songs. So we coordinated the surprise.
