Training With Shaolin Warrior Monks in New York City 

And Happy Monday, everyone. Welcome back to wake up for Cheddar and wake for chat. And I'm do May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. We talk about that a lot here at Cheddar. It's a time to celebrate Asians and Pacific Islanders right here in the United States or earlier. Our very own, Shannon Lanier went to temple right here in New York City to learn more about their martial arts traditions, which is always so beautiful luck. Today, it's all about Kung Fu because I'm here at the USA temple to learn some official moves and how to do it, right? And I'm joined by the founder of this temple as well as the warrior monk. Thank you so much for having us. Thank you. Come in. I like that, right? Respect each other. Respect from my heart. I love that. Yes. OK. So you're getting a lot of respect as a warrior monk. But what does that mean? Warrior monk means? Not one can speak in philosophy, you can demonstrate the philosophy, you're speaking in philosophy by action expression, totally different from the other Buddhist monks. And that has made you the teacher to the stars. Tell me about some of the celebrities you've worked with my dear friend. What's his name? I trained him since 1998. Over two decades, Rosie Price. Uh, Jim Jam. Lots of people, especially boys, the Wu Tang clan, the rule of Jesus, the master killer. You know what I'm saying? You know what I mean? I love that. And you're doing it because you are the best in the business. So I wanna step out of the way and let you do your thing. Can you show us some amazing moves? No problem. OK. Go to Yeah. OK. Let's do this. Yeah. So I wanna learn some of these moves though. A lot of those were a little tough. So I wanted to learn some basic moves. OK? And maybe one day I'll be able to do all those kicks and things. But when we come back out here in about 30 minutes, I'm gonna learn some more of those kung fu moves from the warrior monk master himself. All right. Beautiful, beautiful. Let's do it. Fantastic.
